Mongolian Customers Visit Greensun Factory and Sign a 1MWh BESS Cooperation Agreement

Recently, Mongolian customers visited our factory in China, seeking cooperation on energy storage system projects to solve the instability of the local power system.

Mongolia has significant advantages in the application of solar power generation, particularly in two key areas.

First, Mongolia is a high-latitude, landlocked country characterized by extensive desert and Gobi regions. Its dry climate, abundant sunlight, and high solar radiation result in substantial solar energy resources. Mongolia's potential for solar power generation is considered to be the third highest in the world.

Second, Mongolia has historically depended on coal-fired power generation, with its domestic power infrastructure and supporting facilities remaining relatively underdeveloped. To facilitate an energy transition, the State Great Khural of Mongolia adopted the Renewable Energy Policy in 2016, establishing a clear target to increase renewable energy production to 30% of total energy output by 2030.

The customers toured our advanced production facilities, gained an in-depth understanding of the core principles of energy storage systems, and learned about their significance in solar power generation. They initially signed a 1 MWh battery energy storage system cooperation agreement with we Greensun, with plans to expand to 10 MWh in the future. This will ensure a stable power supply for their production processes and daily operations.
